Do You Run a Triples Facebook Page?

Post by Triple Parts »

A lot of people join the Facebook Triples Club group and think that they are joining the club. It also happens on the NW Triples Facebook group.

On the NW group page We have a pinned post at the top explaining this, with links to the club site. Something like this.....

Note that joining this Facebook page is not joining the Kawasaki Triples Club. For KTC membership see here http://www.kawasakitriplesclub.net/membership.php

The official KTC Forum is here (you will not have access to all areas unless you are a member)
http://www.kawasakitriplesclub.net/forum/index.php

Would it be possible to do something similar on your group to encourage people to visit the KTC website and possibly join the club?

I know I may be stating the bleeding obvious here but is there any particular reason why the club doesn't have an official Facebook page?

Partly the time needed to administer it.
Partly the fact that quite a few members don't use Facebook.
Partly we have this Forum.

There may be other reasons.

I think we possibly missed the boat, there are too many other Triples facebook groups now.
As far as it being a closed group for members only, as Nick says it would be time consuming to administrate and keep up with who is a current member and needs adding and who needs kicking out when they don't renew. Not impossible but as I now know, it's enough work keeping this forum up to date!
So if the club did set up a FB group I think that it would need to be open to anyone, with a link to this site to encourage people to join. That way we may gain a few new/younger members, and that is what we now have with Mikes group, so nothing gained. I would be all for Mikes group becoming the official club page though if he was interested?

Have a sticky thread in the clubhouse and whoever posts in that thread will be a club member that can be authorised to join the group. Thumbs Up

We have a full list of members so could check and approve or decline them, but someone has to do this. I would imagine on a FB group of this type, that would be quite a few applications to cross check every day.
Then on 1st Jan someone has to go through the FB group and delete the members have not renewed, then add them back when they pay their subs in July! Some won't renew at all.
I don't want to sound negative but I have given it some thought with The NW group page and its not as straightforward as it seems.

I run a page with over a thousand members and its not that hard but I know what you're saying Tony but I do fear for this club as it seems to be falling behind the times. :| I would love to do this but I really do have my hands full at the moment as many of you know.
