Bristol Classic Bike Show

Post by StrokerBoy »

14/15th Feb at the Bath & West Showground near Shepton Mallet. That's the weekend after Donington.

Diff'rent Strokers will be there again and we're on the hunt for bikes to put on our stand. This show is a little more 'classic' than we're used to, so we're hoping for some interesting aircooled stuff as well as the usual race-reps. All two-strokes, naturally.

As far as I know, the Triples Club won't be at this show so if anyone local is keen to show their bike off, we'll be happy to help. Standard or tricked-up, we don't mind. If you're keen to join in, let me know ASAP - PM me on here or email me through our site. :D

Ta.

Tim.

We might have a nice KH400 lined up already.

Not trying to compete with any other club, just trying to persuade more people to show off their toys. Too much old Brit rubbish at this show if you ask me !

I will be going. I have a reasonable h2c and only live 6 miles away but it is not really show standard. Give me a bell if your short of bikes. I have some pics on the other forum under bike pics.

Went on sunday had a good day met up with a few KTC members, I would like to put a bike in to that show, just to spice it up a bit.

We had a purple KH400 on our stand. There was another one tucked away in the VJMC corner along with a couple of Samurai's, plus an Avenger in the private entries section. That was about it.

Judging by the number of people who caught a glimpse of the KH and came straight over for a proper look and a chat, you're missing a trick not having a little stand there. There's not enough Japanese stuff. Get it sorted for 2010 ! :D

Keith (Smokie) and I went for a few years, but gave up going because for the same entry fee as Stafford (at the time), you got much less, i.e. few japanese bikes, hardly any japanese autojumble or NOS parts, stacks of tools and loads of mud!!! We then thought we might do a small stand using our own collection of Kwackers, but the proximity to Donington and the cost of hiring vans, paying for hotels has meant we've never done it - we just can't afford to go to more than a couple of shows and rallies a year!!! It would probably come down to someone lese doing it instead, if only to spread the cost out!! Ironically, it's one of the closest shows to Keith and I and the breakfast down the road at the cafe in the old station was great!!!
