Best to ask Rick. Sometime in the 80s.

Without any form of Club approval.
But it`s ok, he`s not doing it for profit. ( Err, except for the £3-5 each sale makes. )

Re: When was the club founded?
We are going to propose something on these lines at the AGM for the club rules.
Regalia and Titles.
All emblems designed by or on behalf of the Club are subject to copyright and may only be used as directed by the National Committee. Regalia bearing the legend "Kawasaki triples club" may only be produced by agents acting on behalf of the Club.

Re: When was the club founded?
Hello official KTC Guys
I just want to make sure there's no unresolved issues here or any bad feelings from anyone. If there is let me know how it can be resolved as I wouldn't want anything to blow out of proportion or escalate. That's why I removed the link to that last design and deleted it from the T-Mill website.
Just to reiterate my motivation for making T-Shirts. All I've ever done with these T-shirts is to have a bit off fun and make things that I and my friends want to wear for my own pleasure and entertainment. I certainly don't need to sell them to anyone else and I've never done it to make money or profit. Honestly, it would be a joke to assume I was as the money I receive would barely pay for an hours worth of my time and they all take considerably more than that to get up and running.
I actually put on the words Kawasaki Triples Club and the founding date because I genuinely thought it would be a good idea to direct people to the club and promote this (official) website as I'm well aware that on-line traffic is more and more being focussed on Facebook rather than here. The first design copy I did actually read "KawaTriplesClub.net".
I've never seen any of my designs, illustrations or cartoons of Kawasakis being in any way connected to the KTC but I can see how using the name has crossed a line for some members. No one has ever asked me to do anything for the KTC officially but If they did then I'm sure I'd be more than happy to work together with the KTC to create something in the future that could be used in an official capacity should the committee want to do this. And then the KTC would own all rights to everything and also be responsible for the print and production and distribution of merchandise.
Anyway, certainly no hard feelings from me about any of this.

Re: When was the club founded?
Club members did contact the committee about your shirts.
I guess the club needs to be careful about keeping control of the club name and images.
Once a precedent is set it is difficult to go back.
Thanks for sorting it out for us by removing the design from the T mill site.
I think it would be great for the club to get together with you redesigning something for us to use.
If you are coming to the blackpool rally we could all hook up there.

Nor me getting to commercial and serious not sure I belong anymore. The fun is going out of the club. I don`t belong in this modern era of false claims and bullshit.

The club already has branded merchandise, maybe some support for that would be better

If it is an original design then in the UK copyright is automatically held by the creator.
