Great footage. Luckily I am fluent in French so can translate
True sea serpent, this film which everyone has heard about but no one has seen, here is one of the first films directed by Jacques Doillon in 1970.
This is one of the few times that Christian Ravel, star rising speed of this era appears on the screen. He will be killed the following year during the Belgian Grand Prix at Francorchamps.
We also see the great Eric Offenstadt aka "Pepe". They were both "factory" Kawasaki drivers. In this documentary, Jacques Doillon, then a filmmaker in the making, tests sounds that seem to be inspired by the film "Mon uncle" by Jacques Tati. We also see some rare images of Gérard Jumeaux.
Among the operators shooting also appears the name of Pierre-William Glenn (called simply William on the credits) who will realize 4 years later "The Iron Horse" with all the French drivers of the Continental Circus of the time.

Re: LOTS of H1R action in this after a couple of minutes
Christain RAVEL finished 2d on Belgium GP 500 on 1970 (H1R) and died on Belgium GP 500 on 1971 (H1R) when he was fighting for the 2d place against Jack Findlay and Eric Offenstadt. As usual Ago got the lead on his MV.The engine seized but the reason could be a miss of fuel as he didn't stop for refueling on this lap as his enginer asked him.
Was a great racer and when he won the 1000 kilometers of Le Mans on 1969 with Tebec, the bike was a friend's road bike and one of the 50s first arrived in France with CDI.
