H2a restoration

This is my first full restoration . It started with an RB import with a knackered gearbox

Ihad carbs ultra sonically cleaned.

Just noticed in photo broke a fin in centre during transport. oh bugger found the bit in the box. The outside one was broke when I got it

The frame has been powdercoated. OOPS notice the big Hammer

Lot of H2A's being restored lately. There were two nice ones at Donnington and I know of one other in the mix.

Very pleased with mine too.

Look forward to seeing this latest effort when it is finished.

It's taken a while with working away from home and only getting back for 1 weekend 3. But I'm getting there slowly but surely. It's not concours but it's clean tidy!!!

Oh before you ask YES I have a petrol cap just wanted to get it started ASAP, it started after a few kicks. got no gears tho so I could'nt tear it up the street hope it's just a linkage problem rather than full strip.

I boxed all the cases up and sent them to steve smethurst to get vapour blasted and a very good job he does also.

Luke it looks like aquablasting ...water and fine glass beads, had my h1 crankcases done a while ago came out suberbly!! any oil just wipes off with NO marks afterwards!

Hi Malc, Remember me from the Blackpool rally the 'bikeless' geordie lad well this is it finally running, notice I say running not going as I can't get gears at the mo but should sort it when I get chance. I wasn't ready for the rallies this year but next year HAHA

Can't wait.

Anyway to answer your question it was about £400 but that was all the cases and barrels blasted also all the polishing you see in the pics not cheap but I don't have time or facility to do anthing else .............. I KNOW I JUST PUT IT TOGETHER !!!!!

Is that cheating
