End of an era ***UPDATED***
It’s the end of an era. The KH & S Series Forum has been running since 2005 but FB has taken its toll. The forum has been very quiet for the last few years. I received a message today asking me to renew the domain. It’s a shame to lose all the info on there but I think it’s time to close it down

Re: End of an era
Sad times, but it had lost its following unfortunately.
Hopefully people will realise that if we don't use these Forums they will be lost forever.

I personally completely understand Simon, its a great shame but you have had to take this decision for all the right reasons, thank you for providing the forum facility for so long

Re: End of an era
The forums have struggled to survive against Facebook but this one is still going and doing ok.
I use Facebook as a source to buy mainly H2 spares.
Other than that I rarely comment or post on it and I stopped posting on my timeline 4 years or so ago.
I removed my birthday off it too and strangely enough no one wishes me happy birthday now on Facebook

Re: End of an era
It's a shame to lose the knowledge and resources. Faceplant is useful in it's own way,I have found Messenger invaluable as two of my sons live in other countries, but to sacrifice the deep well of information on this and other forums for the glib and often superficial posts on Bakebook,is a mistake.
It's often a thankless job maintaining a website,I'm as guilty as any in taking stuff for granted, then one day it's all gone. I don't think that's progress.

Thank you Simon for the many years of service to the triples world. I will miss checking out the web page each day for new titbits.

Update on KH & S Series Forum
After lots of phone calls and messages asking me to keep the forum live, I have had a change of heart. The forum will remain live, but I will not be accepting new members. The main thing is all the information posted over the years will still be available.

Me too. It felt so insincere to have people I barely know wishing me happy birthday, I didn't like it. That's why I don't wish other people happy birthday on Facebook unless I know it's their birthday in everyday life. I guess some people like it though.

That will be all the ones that are "so humbled" by all the birthday wishes with the last comment usually being "I never knew I had so many friends"Mitsui Spy wrote: ↑Sat Jan 20, 2024 3:59 pmMe too.
