Zinc Plating

Hope this might be useful for some of you
A friend of mine told me about a place in Sheffield that you could walk up to the side door with a bucket of nuts and bolts and they would plate them for you for £30, they would be ready in a few days
So that's what I did
Here's the results

The only thing I would say is my oil tank bracket for damaged because I had a lot of heavy stuff in the same bucket

I think the guy doing my stuff just stuck it in a hesian sack and put it in the drum on a regular run, In pretty impressed with the results
Apparently they use 3 big drums , the 1st one degreases , the second removes the rust and the 3rd plates
The really rusty parts I maybe should have cleaned up a bit before I handed them over, but the parts that had just light surface rust came out great
I'm already planning my second bucket
