I think our generation (boomers) have enjoyed the best of motorcycling and maybe even life in general. Present day governments seem obsessed with gaining as much power and control over every aspect of modern life as possible, with the public trading freedom in return for new shiny gadgets.

Like a lot of folk on here,I lived way more years than I have left, but from what I see I don't envy the young their future.

Sorry to jump in, :) I think it's down to us, the ordinary people, not to comply with these power mad dictators. There's a lot more of us than there are of them. I see the people of Nepal have had enough. Thumbs Up

New EU rules on recycling will include motorcycles, but will this even be adopted by the UK?

Some of the key points from the accepted text:
Vehicles of historical interest, their parts, and spare parts are excluded.

That's good to know. But as Brexit never truly happened in any meaningful way, I'm sure the UK will likely be "in line with EU legislation", as the shiny suited types would say. :smt009
Yes, it is Sad the next generation may never know the freedom we once had.

The irony is that it is all down to meeting recycling targets, but we are the ultimate recyclers!

Very true. It just goes to show "compliance, never results in more freedom" .
