POLL NW Triples rally band - please vote

Post by the180kid »

Without bias,
As the rallies are for members and all triple enthusiasts, some organisers at the NW rally this year are contemplating having no band this time,.?
theres 2 sides here and we unanimously decided to put it to a poll, 8)

me Brian, as band promoter to the rally  i would like a band again,
it went down excellent last year or so i thought and everyone i spoke too since ?, but it appears over this last year there have been some words about the noise from between members and guests, mainly that they could not talk to the person next to them for the racket of the band,

sooo,
say +1 for a band and dj one night

and -1 for no band and dj two nights

cant find a link for a poll call on this site, will count the votes in a week or so,

NW commitee members your votes dont count and i wont hold it against you for being old men,...

thanks for your participation,.

Two DJ nights is fine, providing a good (biker) DJ is booked. (-1)

Your not wrong Brian. even me as a grumpy old boring git can appreciate the band were excellent last year, Its not that the band were too loud (but they were louder than your Denco's :D :D ) Its the fact that most of us are at the rally for the social side of things a band just stops us talking bollocks about Triples.

By the way -1

not sure if my vote counts as i aint been on a run yet and I've only spoken to Wolfie and Al for about 10 mins (but i will be about next year) I've been on rallies where there has been good bands and good chat with yer mates ( and hopefully real ale!) but its tricky to do both
so -1 . Dave

it is quite certain that the band will be of no interest to Jo & I (unless I booked them & I'd prob. bankrupt the club!!)

I'm abstaining on this one

the band were good last year, but as others have said its a social ting, and we're all going deaf as it is, so just a bit of decent BACKGROUND' music would do.

-1. Although i didn't attend this year i am planning to next.
As Simon said, good background music and you can chat. You only get to see some of the members 1 or 2 times a year and the evening sit down and beer is a good time to catch up.
