It just takes one triple ....

Post by Guy K »

There was at least one Kawasaki triple in attendance at the "Thunder in the Glens" Harley Davidson rally in Aviemore, Scotland this weekend flying the flag for "strokers" and reminding these posers what a real bike looks and sounds like, yes, Tartan !

I went up today to give him some moral support but I think I probably just aggravated things a bit as my comments and thoughts on these "Hardly a Davidson" type things are much the same as Andrews and I couldn't keep them to myself.
I don't think the Harley guys were too impressed with us both!
I'm amazed we got out alive !

Anyway, the music and beer were good !

Tartan (proudly sporting his Kawasaki triples T-Shirt) showing his disdain for Harleys at the camping area ..quite right too ! LOL

Unfortunately, Andrew was a little too enthusiastic in his haste to get to the "village peoples" rally and whilst showing some noisy V-Twin type thing how a real bike should sound and go, the end can sheared off one of his expansion chambers and got run over by a car ... just a mere flesh wound of course !

This pretty much sums these machines up to me... 300X14X18 and not more than an inch or two of it in the centre ever used !
Sorry guys they are just not for me, I'll stick to real bikes !

I left early about 3.15 (ish) John, there was really little there that interested me !

Good to hear that your rescue mission was successful, I won't be around Edinburgh on Friday, I'm working up in Inverness all week. :(

Have fun down at Squires Cafe & I'll see you for a run down to the Selkirk Classics show in a week or so. :)

Yeah, I was thinking of you today and the run back down with all that rain, I don't envy you that ! Mine was pretty uneventful apart from a wee shower around Kinross which lasted for about 5 minutes or so & not a tractor to be seen the whole way (which was nice).

See you soon mate ! :D
