I live in the States. That said, don't you guys get a chance to VOTE? I see you guys hit with crazy high import fees and more taxes then even the politicians here can dream up!

We aren't much better off. Politicians NEVER have "enough" of our money no matter what part of the world their from. The latest trend here in Maryland was to double all fee but do it over a 6 year period so the motor vehicle fees...the previous "governor" instructed the MVA (motor vehicle administration) to raise registration fees for autos from $40 per year in 2008 to $120 for 2 yrs in 2012 and it's scheduled to go up again next yr AND they separated trucks so its a different fee....$160 per 2 yrs and of course scheduled to go up again next year....as if we wouldn't notice it. Maryland also doubled all the road & bridge tolls. The most popular, the Chesapeake bay bridge went from $4 in 2008 to $6 in 2012 and was scheduled to go to $8 in 2014! The dang bridge was paid for 20 years ago for Gods sake so we voted out his party and the new Governor not only repealed the increases, he had the existing signs changed so the new fee was crossed out and the old $4 was written next to it.....firmly giving the old political party "the finger"!!

I have to say though, even though I've had my share of "issues" with the MVA here, at least the people there generally try to help you out when they have the latitude to do so. How anyone could argue with a date stamped on the headstock is beyond me....that sticker is only there because it's REQUIRED to be there....by the very government that's now telling you that it isn't accurate!!

Now I understand why the government there took away guns there....so they could rape the defenseless....

I feel for you guys, I really do.

That's great but I wonder if they just saw 1974?

What paper work did you send?, V5 with change of vehicle type to historic, insurance & MOT ( although I think ins. & MOT are on their system now.)
