Just confirm, which switch?

My first guess would be you have a low battery and one of your left indicators has a short circuit, bare wires inside the headlight is favourite but look under the seat first.. it's easiest.

It's the indicator turn switch , battery is on charge now as was a bit down , see if that solves it

I had that on my KH400. Where the indicator wire went into the indicator it had lost some insulation and was shorting out, when the indicators were switched on. Flattened the battery too.

Charged battery back on, all good now , didn't think a low battery would cause problems like that, learn something new every day , thanks

As with Nicks problem, there is probably another cause, have a look at the Indicator wiring on the left side....

The reason I pointed to a flat battery was that the fuse should blow in such an event but if the battery is low it can't supply enough current to blow the fuse.

It might be worth confirming that the correct fuses are fitted.

You didn't mention which bike
If you have a boyer ignition system it needs a fully charged battery to run

I'm still not sure that you have checked the indicator wiring as has been suggested, if you haven't then I think you should, its really not difficult and could save you experiencing the same problem when you are away from home and a long push back, a simple visual check could show up the problem

Good luck

Update, checked wires in head light and under the seat, no problems there, but on the back left indicator where the wire leaves the threaded rod it had worn and exposed the metal wire, hopefully problem should be sorted now, thanks for the help and advise all.

Glad you're sorted now and found the problem.
