If anyone has bike's that require registration just got 2 back in 3 weeks from the DVLA must be back at work now or I was lucky

Hi all, I'm about to send an application for a v5 on an import. I have the nova number and dating certificate and I think they need photo id and proof of address.
Does the bike need to be insured and will it help to have an mot.

Sent mine with just the dating certificate and proof of who I am, I had lost the Nova, got my log book in three be weeks.

I'm sure last time, about 10 years ago, I insured it on the frame number and got it mot'd.
