Hi all, quuck hello to everyone on here, not been on here for a couple of years due to the usual culprit of losing motivation and selling most of my stuff!
But after watching Allan Millyard and his new s1/s3 550 build it inspired me to drag my engine out over xmas to get the black plastic paint off the crankcases, I have managed to get most of it off the top half and I have a quick question?
As you can see from the photo there is a bit of pitting were the crank fits, no marks on the crank tho, so is this case still usable?
Also attached a few pics of my candy spraying atempts, by no means perfect but not bad especially in the sunlight, shame I got rid off them apart from my z1000 front mudguard which is shown next to the tail piece for comparison and yes it was candy.
So hopefully I can progress on my engine and I still have a kh400 frame that i need to clean and paint and some front forks. The frame in the pics was sold with the other bits just hope it eventually got built.

Looks good enough to me but you could do with a regular engine builder to give expert advice. If no joy on here try the Facebook group

What did you use to get the paint off?

Seen a lot worse.. Get them vapour blasted to remove all the corrosion from the pitting then oil well.
