As I it's been a while since my last update so..
On my B I fitted my rebuilt calipers only to find that the brake lines fouled the forks

Considering I've had these on the bike in the same position for over 20 years I was a bit confused
However this is how things go for me on a regular basis, I think I'm doing something positive and something will go wrong
I have a constant battle in my head with the devil on my shoulder saying " you know something not going to work out if you touch it" the angel sits there saying" go easy you've got this it's dead easy "
So instead of putting my B away in the garage for the night I left it on the patio overnight and to add insult to injury in the morning it had dumped a load of gearbox oil on the patio.
So I forgot about bikes for a while and just went out enjoying myself.
Anyhow this morning Saturday 3rd of August I woke up with a spring in my step at 4am ( after 6 hrs sleep) a quick cup of tea and into the shed, now I'd been using my 69 H1 to go to work and back, however the petrol smell when I go to get it out the shed in the morning was getting worse and I could see petrol stains around the float bowls, by around 10 o'clock I'd had the carbs off, fillled the float bowls to make sure they where flat, checked the float heights and got everything back together.
My attention then turned to my H2
I spent around an hour with my 240 v polishing mop cleaning my fork legs, a friend of mine has a 3 phase polisher which would have had the job done in 10 minutes, but I'd have felt a bit cheeky popping round asking can he open his workshop so I can use his ellecy to do my fork legs, boyed by the reasonable finish I achieved I went rummaging around in some boxes for the headlight brackets and all the rest of the paraphernalia that went with it, I was quite surprised to find everything and I've managed to wrestle everything into place.
This has given me a boost , but unfortunately I'm now at a gig in Sheffield, Liverpool v Manchester United is on at 0:45 Sunday and there's also a club night on after the gig we might hang around for so I think Sunday will be lost
It will be Tuesday before I get a chance to get in the shed again, I'll keep you all updated.
Did I test ride my 69, nah, the devil won again " don't do it, you'll know it will only leak again"
I'll leave that until Monday when I (try) to ride to work
