Re: rex speedshop
okay here are the measurements, diameters, the casing in which the stator sits is 140mm and seats on128mm where it screws on, the outer measurement between original coils is 122mm exactly, all coils, giving 6mm clearance to fit, 3mm both sides.
Rex stator, 2x2 sets coils is 125mm, thats okay, but the outside measurement between coil 5 and 6, two opposite each other, is 129mm, 129mm does not fit into a 128mm hole,no clearance, I tried it in a second casing does not fit, their answer, send it and the casing, at my cost, where they will fit it, fecking fat chance at hourly rate, and send it back to me, at my cost, well get fecked, the measurements say it all, they cannot admit its wrong, its my 400 euro mistake, service is terrible, not spoken to anyone, just smartarse answers as to how as stator works, how brilliant they are and im a dick

Re: rex speedshop
You're not the first to have this trouble, Alloallo had the same issue with them.
He fitted my 71 H2 stator (the whole iggy) to go to 50 years anniversary of H2 on 2022.
Say me if I take one for you Andrew

Re: rex speedshop
I bought one from them a few years ago when I think they had just released the new windings set with no exchange required, I bought it more for insurance against breaking down than any running fault and it must have fitted straight in as I dont remember having any issues
I wonder if there is some difference between the size of the stator 'case' over the years?

Re: rex speedshop
I have just sent it back, along with my casing, to prove it does not fit,and under warranty, supply a replacement, and ensure it fits the undamaged, circular casing, They do not answer the phone, tried calling for three days, sent pictures, since the last ones, they dont reply at all, sent a contact us form today, no reply, I am hoping they send back another stator and my casing back, if not who lives near Robertsbridge, that can go bang their door???
Do me a favour someone, try calling them on 01580 880 768, and see if its my phone is the problem, or they just dont answer

I did get through to them on another matter and the girl who answered very reluctantly handed over the phone to a Male who seemed to know what he was talking about but also wasnt in the queue when they were handing out both manners and conversation skills

Re: rex speedshop
nope I only remember that the iggy cover of later HI E F and KH 500 won't fit with the 3 pick up iggy unless it's the iggy cover with Kawasaki marked on it (all H2 and H1D) which don't fit with the 2 pick up iggyTilly H2C wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2026 9:56 am I bought one from them a few years ago when I think they had just released the new windings set with no exchange required, I bought it more for insurance against breaking down than any running fault and it must have fitted straight in as I dont remember having any issues

Re: rex speedshop
Sorry to hear your troubles Andrew. I have just installed one and like Neil it fitted fine. Not on the bike yet though.
Let us know the outcome as I am intrigued to what is wrong.

Re: rex speedshop
Nigel, the answer is in the pictures, two coils were to big to fit in the casing, the aftersales service is terrible, they do not answer the phone, emailing pictures showing the problem replys like, how a stator works, you will have to heat up the casing, your casing is damaged, they are a tight fit,I gave up with the email dance, and posted it back to them, then, after they recieved it, silence, zilch, zero, until today, notification of post from speedshop, has been posted, this will be interesting, as i marked my casing and the stator with small ind pen, and hopefully not get humped on customs twice, plus the cost of posting back to them,
my guess, is that they state every stator, checked in a casing before shipping, that they check the mounting plate fits before assembly of the coils, and not after assembly, because this one will not, could never fit, without forcing it and damaging the two coils, warranty gone!!
Now, no one is perfect, mistakes can and will be made, will see if its the same stator forced into the casing, and coils touching the casing with no clearance, if so, its going back, or its another stator fitted, with clearance to the coils
