just type in h2chris on the YouTube search and it should list all the vids I've put up, good and bad!
I've been researching different types of ignition systems for ages as I'm just really interested in trying to improve the bike. My next one uses 2x Petronix triggers and a modified KH250 casing fitted with a Z900 stator and using the Z900 rotor as well. Rog has had this stator conversion done already so I've just copied it.
I have also splashed out a while back on a new Zeeltronic iggy system. It's for my project bike so won't get any road use for a while yet. What I like about this system is that it's well liked by the RD boys as they have the 2 channel version. It is fully programmable, can store 10x different iggy curves, a "soft" rev limiter - that means it firstly retards the timing, then reduces spark intensity and finally cuts the spark altogether. It also has a shift light output. It worked out at just over£440 inc P&P, which I think is a bargain for something with all these functions and is NEW! It also only draws 2.0A max current.

those iggy boxes of John's are superb and make a much better replacement than the originals.
For our drag bike project, we need a system that has both the facility to retard the ignition at high rpm and have a rev limiter too.
The other ignitions I'm messing around with is purely for my road bikes. Out of interest I've found that if you require more electrical power to run halogen lights, better ignition systems, etc, you can bolt on a KH250 assembly which ups the the stock output from 4.0A to 5.5A. Or, I've just converted a KH250 casing to accept a Z900 stator & rotor and tested today gives out an impressive 11.6A! More than enough juice to power those little extras. At 1000rpm it's putting out almost 4.6A.

Yeah but to be honest Kas, that is too bright even in daylight it was annoying having you behind, people coming the other way must've been fecked off with yer.
