Factory pipes

Picked up a set of these on a recent 500 purchase, anybody got /used these & are they any good ? have fbg pipes on my D at the mo & wonder if its worth swopping them over .. :)

Old or new FBG's ? The old ones are almost identically shaped as the FPP's. Different silencer type though. FPP's are known to rev high.

I have a set of factory pipes on my h1,running pod filters and mains at 100/102.5,they work well from 4500rpm and certainly makes the bike lift its feet once onto the powerband,tartan 8)

from past experiance
on a h2 they kick in hard and fast at high rpm
on h1 they are a bit more subtle but do work very well

why not do a back to back test and send it in for the club mag :wink:

The gast's I have are older ones in very good nick & always been pleased with them... I need to do abit of refurb work on the factories & then i'll bolt em on & see :D

They were on my 70 H1 & the rear mounts were conected to the pillion pegs via a 2 inch plate that was definatly home made... Could these be H2 chambers adapted to the 500 or are they all like this ? all thoughts appreciated....

As far as I know, they are the same for H1 and H2.

That's cool then, I'll fabricate new brackets and git it done ! ...volume the same for 500 and 750 :?
