H2 Mudguard difference

What is the difference in shape between the 72 painted front guard and the later chrome guard.

The 72 one is a tad slimmer and rounder

yes NOS H2A mudguard, but it is not to hand,
rechromed H1E mudguard, that is, will post pictures at the weekend.... if you can wait that long

The replies have been very enlighteniing. I have checked the guard on my 72 H2 project and it is chrome with the cut outs. I then looked at the H1e I had off you Gary and the front guard on that is narrower without the cut outs. I had bought that guard off Bitzcarts to replace what was on there but did not notice the difference.
So what I have now is the H2 with the wrong guard, I have a spare guard which I have had chromed which I can put on the H1e but the guard on the H1e has nice chrome and it seems a pity to have ot stripped to paint it. Not sure what to do.
