Your memory is astounding Hal - Obviously the lack of mobile phones for the first 20 years of their inception has stood you in good stead  . . . :P

Probably after I had it then. I bought it from Allins (Cambridge) for £675 (£350 plus a Yamaha YR5) in 1978 with dodgy paint and a set of LE Sport chambers :smt009 and sold it via MCN in 1980 (ish) for £900 to a guy from Bristol I think, he turned up in a van with some mates and took it away with his mates holding it up in the back for 200 miles... It had a new crank and top end and had about 18K on the clock, chucked in a good set of Denco's as well

Mustard sofa! Those were the days.

If you think you had it bad, when my dad's jumper got beyond repair my mum cut the sleeves off and re-knitted them into a pair of trousers for me! Feckin' KNITTED trousers. Okay I was only eight but my mates crucified me.

She could knit while watching Z cars.

I nicked the GTX poster from Woolley Edge services on the M1. A lot of the local bikers used to meet there in the evenings and me and my mate used to go up on our pushbikes to ogle the bikes and dream.

I must admit I would find it hard to believe anyone actually bought a pair of those without the use of a set of thumb screws and a water board on the part of the salesman :D :D :D

Looks like Paul owned it (and still does!) AFTER you! There is a report in an early KTC newsletter about his "European Adventures" on your ex bike
